Restaurant CAOS is looking for kitchenstaff 

Who are we?
“We are celebrating life, eating, cooking and coexisting in a serene atmosphere, surrounded by rustic charm that adds a touch of natural authenticity to the experience.’’ 
CAOS is a restaurant and Mezcal bar offering modern cuisine rooted in Mexican flavor and traditions while celebrating Mexican heritage with local Belgian ingredients. Our menu is designed for sharing and served with our signature Mezcal cocktails. The standard for our dishes is like fine dining, but without the white table linen. Think of Kol in London and Atla in New York.  Our beverage program focuses on artisanal spirits and mirrors our cuisine, letting high quality ingredients shine. The restaurant is focused on dining but is flexible enough to gradually evolve into a sleek bar venue to showcase the depth of our hand- crafted beverages in a lively environment where the concept of time becomes nothing more than a fleeting idea. 
CAOS is plannend to open in spring of 2024 (May/June) and will be located in the city centre of Antwerp. The maximum couverts for the restaurant will be 50 people.


Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an energetic person who is ready for a new challenge. A person who has a passion for modern restaurants and prefferable a passion for modern Mexican cuisine. You have experience in working in a kitchen and you like to work in a small team. Our ideal candidate is somebody that isnt shy to make a jump. If you do not have experience with the Mexican cuisine but you are interested in exploring new things, don't hesitate to reach out!

We are looking for several positions to add to our kitchen team. If you are interested in the position as a sous-chef or chef de partie, please reach out so we can discuss more details. 

What are your responsibilities?
The sous chef supports the chef, focusing on prep work to ensure a smooth service. The sous chef ensures that the dishes meet the Chef's standards and follows the HACCP guidelines. Additionally, they provide guidance to kitchen staff and step in when the head chef is absent. 

Chef de partie is assisting the chef and sous-chef in creating menu items and recipes. Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes and assisting with the management of health and safety and food hygiene practices.
